About Us
Hi, and welcome. I’m the person behind WowUSATravels, and this site exists for one simple reason: America is too big and too good to wing it.
I started this blog after one too many road trips where I showed up to a national park entrance without checking the operating hours, or drove three extra hours because I didn’t know about a shortcut everyone local seemed to know. Somewhere between Yellowstone’s geysers and a gas station in rural Utah, I decided someone should put together the kind of guide I wished I’d had — written by someone who actually drove the route, not someone who pulled facts from a brochure.
That’s what you’ll find here: real, practical guides to national parks, road trips, and city escapes across the United States. Entry fees and park hours that are actually current. Driving routes that account for the fact that your gas tank isn’t infinite. Honest opinions about which trails are worth the hike and which ones are mostly hype.
What You’ll Find Here
National Park Guides — Everything from Yellowstone to Zion, including the stuff that doesn’t make it into the official park brochure: best times to avoid crowds, which trails are family-friendly, and where to actually park your car.
Road Trip Itineraries — Multi-day routes planned around drive time, not just distance, because nobody wants to spend twelve hours behind the wheel just to see a sign that says “Welcome to Nevada.”
City Guides — Practical breakdowns of major US cities for people who have a weekend, not a month.
Seasonal Travel — What’s actually worth seeing depending on the time of year, from fall foliage routes to summer-only mountain passes.
A Quick Note on How This Site Works
WowUSATravels is an independent travel blog. We’re not a travel agency, and we don’t book flights, hotels, or tours directly. When we recommend a hotel, tour, or piece of gear, some of those links are affiliate links — meaning we may earn a small commission if you book or buy through them, at absolutely no extra cost to you. It’s how we keep this site free and ad-light, and we only recommend things we’d genuinely suggest to a friend planning the same trip.
If you’ve got a question about a destination, a correction to suggest, or just want to tell us about a hidden gem we missed, head over to the Contact page — we read everything.
Thanks for stopping by, and safe travels.
